Forget vampires and pale facepaint, for his latest roleRobert Pattinson steps back in time, spotted on the set of Bel Ami in full period get-up.
The Brit actor was in Budapest over the weekend, filming scenes for the flick in which he'll star alongside Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristin Scott Thomas.
A far cry from his leading role in the Twilight Saga, R-Patz stars as Georges Duroy in the adaptation of Guy de Maupassant's novel, who rises to power in Paris, after seducing the country's most influential women.
As a result, the flick promises to be a far cry from your typical historical drama, with Pattinson confirming it all gets pretty steamy. He told MTV: 'It is like the complete antithesis of what you normally think period dramas are about. In Paris, everybody was just going nuts. It was like the 1980s. Sex was kind of a weapon and a tool, and it's odd.'
Taking a break from playing Edward Cullen, Pattinson will film a further two flicks - Unbound Captives alongside Hugh Jackman and Water for Elephants, with Reese Witherspoon - before embarking on the final chapter of the saga, Breaking Dawn.
