Robert Pattinson is rumoured to be taking on the role of Kurt Cobain in a new film.
The Twilight star, who plays the guitar, has apparently been earmarked for the role by Courtney Love, widow of the legendary Nirvana singer.
The Sun reports that Courtney would like Scarlett Johansson to play her in the forthcoming Universal Pictures film.
A source told the paper: "[Robert] is her number one choice to play Kurt.
"She is adamant Scarlett will play her. Scarlett is friendly with Frances Bean, her daughter with Kurt."

So at this stage this is just Courtney Love's idea to have Rob play the part of Kurt. Imagine the merrygoround of negotiations that would need to take place between Rob's agents and hers. I wonder if there is a script yet. She flatters herself in choosing Scarlet Johannsen to play her role. Don't get me wrong, I would really love to see Rob play Kurt, it'd be awesome despite Rob having to dye his hair - but at this stage it's a bit pie in the sky.
